Film Types

Film comes in many different types - from 35mm to 5x7 sheet film. Here are a few of the popular ones.

Ilford FP4 - medium speed 125 ISO black and white film. Good in all lighting, fine grain.
Kodak TMAX 400 - World's finest grained ISO 400 film. Pushable to ISO 1600 - therefore exposing it to even more light.
Ilford XP2 - Chromogenic film - ISO 400 but can be pushed up or down.
Fuji Neopan 1600 - High ISO of 1600 , excellent push/pull .

Induction Assignment

This assignment was designed to get us used to using a Photo Lab and also to the black and white darkroom.

The Task
The task was to create black and white photographs of a scene with an object of my choice placed in the frame .The images also had to have a connotation  behind them . I had to use C41 film to produce the prints and print them on 10x8 photo paper.

Idea

I had the idea of an image of a padlock on a barbed wire fence, this would give a connotation of security because barbed wire is commonly used to keep something or someone either in or out of a place.
